1. Who we are

GrimDex is desktop utility software for Windows developed and sold by CQTecnologia, Brazil. Purchases are processed by Paddle, our merchant of record, whose checkout terms apply to the payment itself.

2. Free beta

The current public build is a free beta: it runs the full product without an account, payment method, or key until the beta ends. That date is announced on grimdex.dev before it takes effect. After it, the app asks for a license before it continues; a key activated before then keeps working, and nothing on your computer is altered or removed.

3. License

A license is a perpetual, personal, non-transferable right to use the GrimDex versions it covers, on up to 3 Windows PCs that you use. One key is entered once per PC; activation makes one online check with our license service, then verifies offline. A PC can be released from the app so another can take its place. Keys are not to be shared, resold, or published.

4. Editions and updates

Personal includes every feature update released in the first year after purchase and maintenance fixes for those versions afterwards. Lifetime Updates includes every update for the lifetime of the product. An Update Pass extends a Personal license's feature-update window. Versions you are entitled to keep working after the window closes; renewing is optional.

5. Prices and payment

Prices are shown in US dollars before tax; the exact total for your country is shown in the checkout before you pay. Your key is delivered on the confirmation page and by email to the checkout address. Refunds follow the refund policy.

6. Acceptable use

You may not reverse-engineer the licensing mechanism, circumvent activation, or distribute modified builds. GrimDex acts on your files only as you direct it; you remain responsible for what you copy, move, or delete.

7. Warranty and liability

The software is provided as described on this site and in its documentation. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses; our total liability for a purchase is limited to the amount paid for it. Mandatory consumer rights in your country are not affected by these terms.

8. Privacy and telemetry

Files and filenames are processed locally and never uploaded. What the app and our services do receive is described in the privacy policy.

9. Changes and contact

Updates to these terms are announced on this page with a new date and never reduce a license you already hold. Questions: support@grimdex.dev.
