About GrimDex
A fast native file manager for Windows, made by a one-person software company in Brazil.
What GrimDex is
GrimDex is a native Windows application written in Rust that draws its own interface with a GPU renderer. It indexes NTFS volumes through the master file table and follows the change journal, so search answers as you type and the results stay inside the folder view you are working in.
It keeps the real Windows shell: context menus, drag and drop and file icons come from the system, not from imitations. Split panes, tabs, docking and a command palette carry the rest of the work. The whole product is one compact executable that runs in place or installs for your user, with no account and no telemetry.
How it is made
Every release is built by a continuous-integration pipeline from a tagged source revision, published with a signed update manifest and verified checksums, and served from grimdex.dev. Testers run each candidate on real machines before it reaches the release channel; the changelog records what changed.
Who makes it
GrimDex is developed and supported by CQTecnologia, a one-person software company in Brazil. Support, purchases and product questions all reach the same inbox: support@grimdex.dev.
Principles
- Your files stay on your computer. Nothing is uploaded and no usage data is collected.
- You own what you buy: one payment, a perpetual license, up to 3 PCs, and the versions you are entitled to keep working forever.
- The beta is free and complete while it lasts; its closing date is announced on this site before it takes effect.
- Claims on this site trace to the shipped product: every screenshot is a recorded GrimDex session.
